Employees and family members are eligible for confidential assessment at SAVE offices. Any issue that causes distress can be discussed at SAVE, such as marital difficulties, depression, alcohol or drug problems, parenting, eldercare issues, work stress, etc. Trained professionals provide all assessment and counseling services. Counseling can be self-referred by employees, or a supervisor can refer an employee such as in the following cases:
Conflict Mediation: If two employees do not get along, joint counseling can be provided, focusing on conflict mediation.
Formal Supervisor Referrals: If an employee's performance is problematic, supervisors can refer him or her to SAVE. Such a referral can be offered to the employee before it is too late and disciplinary action is required. SAVE will work with the employee to identify personal issues that may be affecting performance or simply to develop professional skills in order to meet the supervisor's objectives.
Whether an employee visits SAVE for personal or professional reasons, if referral for long-term or other services is necessary, we utilize the best possible professional resources in the community. SAVE is familiar with community resources as well as the limits of your medical benefits. Whenever possible we will make a referral to cost-effective services that will meet employee's needs.
